چکیده
Climate change is one of the global issues that receiving wide attention due to its clear impact on all living organisms. This essential for Iraq since it was classified as fifth most vulnerable country climate change. One manifestations these changes in increasing frequency and severity dust storms. In this study, Normalized Difference Dust Index (NDDI) spectral index Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) sensor bands used measure track storm occurred May 16, 2022, well test validity daily products sensor, MOD11A1, surface temperature emissivity before after storm. It found MOD09GA product effective monitoring detecting The areas close Syrian borders were identified origin On other hand, MOD11A1 not suitable large number missing pixels cannot be compensated by conventional statistical methods or spatial interpolation techniques, percentage data sometimes equals half more scene, despite fact both are from same location time capture under weather conditions. Therefore, it’s phenomena. average eight days image processing can relied upon monitor phenomena applications.

Dust Storms: Schwartz's Response
Coarse Particles and Dust Storm Mortality In a paper titled "Episodes of High Coarse Partide Concentrations Are Not Associated with Increased Mortality," Schwartz et al. (1) concluded that "coarse particles from windblown dust are not associated with mortality risk." The authors seem to have overlooked the medical literature on the health effects of the historic U.S. dust storms of the dust bow...

A farmer and his two sons during a dust storm in Cimarron County, Oklahoma, 1936, Photo: Arthur Rothstein The Dust Bowl, or the Dirty Thirties, was a period of severe dust storms causing major ecological and agricultural damage to American and Canadian prairie lands in the 1930s, particularly in 1934 and 1936. The phenomenon was caused by severe drought coupled with decades of extensive farming...
متن کاملDust storms and ephemeral lakes
In drylands, both dust storms and ephemeral salt lakes (playas) are common. Observations using remote sensing and ground studies have shown that these playas can be major sources of saline dust storms. Some basins have recently become desiccated as a result of water abstraction by humans, and these have become significant sources of dust. The timing and amounts of dust emissions depends on such...
متن کاملThe extraction of synoptic patterns, and monitoring the origin and pathway of dust storms; Case study: Ardabil province, Iran
Today, dust and dust storms are among the most important environmental problems in the world and Iran, in particular. This study is conducted to identify synoptic patterns of the dust storms in Ardabil Province (Iran) and monitor the origin and pathway of its places. The study period is 34 years for1979 to 2013. The data used in this work are from synoptic stations of Ardabil province and the N...

In this study, the changes in the Khorramabad storm in the period of 1952 to 2015 have been investigated. For this purpose, data from meteorological codes 06 and 07 were received from the Meteorological Organization of the country, and after identifying the days of winding with dust storms and calculating their monthly frequency, monthly, seasonal and annual time series were analyzed. In this s...
